Do you ever wish you had just a bit more energy to get through your days? Just wanting a little more pep in your step? I mean God said in Isaiah 58 that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength! That they will soar on wings like eagles; that they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint!

You may be thinking: “I’m hoping in you Lord and I’m ready for that soaring!” Now I know that God wants to do this for us- and guess what? There is an easy way to get in line with his will for us to not grow faint.

I’ve gone on this massive heath/ healing journey over the last few years, and there are some things I’ve implemented that have improved my energy level A TON. I thought I’d let you in on one of the things that’s super easy but made a huge impact on upping my energy levels.

You guessed it, Hydration.

NOW, I know, I KNOW! There’s a ton of hype out there about drinking water! BUT listen, there’s more to hydrating than just “Drinking Water.” Even with all this hype studies have shown that 75% OF AMERICANS ARE WALKING AROUND DEHYDRATED! And what’s even more disturbing is discovering that even just a 5% drop in water levels in the body can cause a twenty-five to thirty percent loss in energy. THAT IS HUGE.

Did you see that?! %25-%30 loss in energy. And 75% of us in America are walking around like that…

Here is what happens when you get hydrated:

Your energy levels level out

You have Better “elimination”

You get Deeper Sleep

You have more Mental Clarity

You get Improved Skin & Whiter eyes

Your blood pressure normalizes

You get  Less aches & pains

AND Decreased inflammation with less swelling.

Are you convinced yet? Ready to commit? OK- let me give you all the deets, cause there are some things you need to know if you want your water to actually hydrate you. These are important aspects to your water drinking life:

Best Time to Hydrate

FIRST THING in the morning is when you need to get a big dose of water in you!

If you don’t get A LITER of water in you first thing when you wake up your body will be working in a deficit and you’ll be playing catch-up the rest of the day. You’ve got to flush out the toxins that have accumulated all night.

Quantity of Water you NEED

In addition to your liter first thing in the morning you’re going to need to drink half your body weight in ounces. AT LEAST.


You’re going to want to be drinking purified water with minerals!

Purified water is necessary, cause without that you’ll be drinking polluted water with chlorine and chemicals in it. But, here’s the kicker, the purification process strips all the minerals out, making the water acidic which strips minerals from your body putting you at a deficit! SO introducing minerals back into that purified water before drinking it is important! I do this by simply adding some pink Himalayan salt. Hopefully we will get a reverse osmosis purification system one day! (Links to what you may need are below!)

What to drink FROM

After all that work to get your water to hydrate you, it’d be a shame to have toxins leech into it from you plastic water bottle! There are a ton of options other than plastic out there. Honestly, you should really stay away from plastics, but that can be difficult in such a plastic heavy society. If you are going to use them, you need to remember which are less hazardous. To summarize, plastics in categories #2, #4 and #5 are generally considered safe. Be weary of putting them in the microwave, even if they are labeled “microwave-safe”. Plastics #1, #3, #6 and #7 should be used with varying to extreme caution, especially around food or drink. Of these, plastic #1 isn’t too terrible, but needs to be stored in cool environments and should not be reused. ” **NonToxicRevolution.com

Staying hydrated for Eternity

Now that you’ve got all the tips for staying physically hydrated I HAVE to mention the best tip of all. Get that Holy Spirit water from Jesus! (Shoot me a message if you want some more details about this Holy Spirit water!)

In John 4:14 Jesus says:  “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
