You are called to live a Victorious Life!

Guess what?  You have what you need to be victorious in life!

What? it doesn’t feel that way?  No of course not, because we live in a broken world and we have a lot to overcome in life.  And honestly, how would one be victorious without having endured a battle?

The battles in this life are real. But the truth is: we have a God who conquered the world and all that’s in it. And He makes that victory available to us!  SO we don’t fight our battles for victory, we fight FROM a place of victory.

Actually, God is calling you to live from this place.  I’m sure you’ve heard Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future..”

PURSUE the Victorious life

God has this plan for you- plans to prosper you. But they will not come into fruition unless you choose to pursue them.

The Lord has given us free will. If you want to stay sitting in an apathetic defeated place- He will let you!  Our Savior does not force Himself upon us. He stands at the door and knocks! He’s not a God that barges in.

Romans 8 declares that we are more than conquerors through Him who saves us.  I just want to challenge you with a question today.  Do you behave and make your choices throughout the day believing that you are more than a conqueror?

You are a Royal Warrior.

Things change when God gets ahold of our surrendered hearts. As a result of asking God to be the Lord of our life, we enter into a relationship with the trinity. This relationship gives us a new identity as a royal warrior.

We become royalty with this relationship with the Trininty.  We become a royal daughter, God adopts us in as his child.  Ephesians 1:5

He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will!

We get a brother through Christ Jesus. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Romans 8:29

And we get a PERFECT husband. (Hallelujah!) One who can love our soul in all the ways we need it-  Isaiah 62:5; As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you

These relationships reveal that we have a regal authority. Because we are co-heir to the throne. Our ultimate Father is King of all eternity. And we are a royal bride.

We have been given this position and we get to determine what we are going to do with it.

God has called us to share in the sufferings of the cross. He tells us to have a perspective that is different than that of the world we live in.  We are called to renew our minds. Charged to think on things that will have us walking in the victory that he’s given us.

Envision the Royal Warrior that you are!

Envision the Royal Warrior you are!  Have this be a focus- have an image of her in your mind as you pursue her.  Make choices from this place of regal strength given by the power of the Holy Spirit through Christ Jesus.  Fix your eyes on the prize of fully living as her for the glory of the eternal kingdom!

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

We are called to fight the good fight!  There is a Spiritual war raging all around us and our daily choices have an impact on it!
If we want to experience victory in our lives we’ve got to choose it.  We’ve got to practice and train in the Truth that God has given us.

Matthew 7:24-27 ; “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Participate in the divine nature!

I love 2 Peter 1!  Here God tells us what we have available and how to access it.  This is verse 3 & 4 in the NIV

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

In addition, I want quote verses 5-11 in the Message interpretation:

5-9 So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus. Without these qualities you can’t see what’s right before you, oblivious that your old sinful life has been wiped off the books.

10-11 So, friends, confirm God’s invitation to you, his choice of you. Don’t put it off; do it now. Do this, and you’ll have your life on a firm footing, the streets paved and the way wide open into the eternal kingdom of our Master and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Therefore ladies, I just want to encourage you today, to tap into what’s available to you!

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Another version says to “KEEP asking, KEEP seeking, KEEP knocking.”

We must trust the hard work is a Godly thing.  That perseverance and determination is part of the victorious life.  Fighting is part of the victorious life. Including the fight for joy or rest!

Listen, we are called to fight for Christ, not our to-do list.  The goal that matters is obedience to live a Christ like life- not to reach a daily or yearly goal.  Our goal is the heavenly prize! Amen?

Make a Commitment!

I’m going to ask you to make a commitment to yourself to live in victory.  To pursue the victorious life!

And listen, I want you to follow through! Because, when we don’t follow through trust is broken.  We can’t trust ourselves and insecurity gets a foothold.

You can do this!
