2 Timothy 1:7 states that God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind.
In order to be an effective princess and a successful warrior it is crucial to be aware of the power we’ve been given, to claim it, and to maintain it well.
I’ve singled out some Scripture that refers to this power that we’ve been given as a princess in God’s eternal kingdom.
And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven. (Luke 24:49)
I pray also that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. (Eph 1:19)
Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you. (2Tim 1:14)
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. (1Cor. 4:20)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you (Acts 1:8)
We constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. (2Thes. 1:11)
But we have these treasures in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (2Cor 4:7)
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. (2Cor 12:9)
Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (Eph 3:18-20)
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (Eph 6:10)
So sisters, when we feel overwhelmed, like our feet are slipping from underneath us… when we feel attacked by that person or we can’t wrap our head around this circumstance, or that the drone of the everyday is just too much to bare…
It’s remembering who we are, that we were created for something specific and purposeful- it’s believing that we’ve been given authority and a royal position that will help us to walk out our days and stand in that spirit of power, love and sound mindedness.
